Camp P.I.R.A.T.E.S.

Living Learning Community

Program Overview and Goals

Students learn a lot and build strong bonds during the short three days while participating in Camp P.I.R.A.T.E.S.  Students who attend camp but additionally join the living learning community will remain connected and to build on the foundation already established.  Continued class meetings and events throughout the semester will allow for discussion of transition issues throughout the first year.

Participants will:

  • Take two classes together during the fall semester and one class in the spring semester.
  • Participate in activities and events throughout the fall and spring semester designed to help students connect to ECU and campus resources and to develop leadership skills.
  • Receive support for the academic, social, and emotional changes that may occur in the transition from high school to ECU.
  • Build a foundation for a successful college experience.
