Tau Sigma Honor Society

Tau Sigma is an academic honor society created to recognize, celebrate, and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students. This organization was established in 1999 as a non-profit at Auburn University and has since spread across the nation with more than 225 chapters. Tau Sigma strives to uplift transfer students in their ability to maintain high academic achievement while adjusting to a new environment. Eligibility for Tau Sigma includes sustaining a 3.5 GPA or higher after completing at least 12 credit hours at ECU and rank in the upper 20 percent of their class. Each Spring, eligible transfer students are invited to join ECU’s chapter and participate in and induction ceremony.
